The brief was to design a private house by the river in Teddington , Surrey in England. The site is prone to flooding with the river sometimes covering the entire land.

We designed a light weight structure with deep pile foundations and minimal disturbance to the land to allow the river to flood the land while the cycle of nature is enjoyed from the comfort of the multiple buildings of the mansion and its many outdoor platforms. A glass swimming pool, elevated above the ground and flood levels enhance the experience of being at one with nature.
